Cork flooring a part of new medical centre

Such an undertaking is intended to ensure that the new, larger facility is as green as possible.
Cork flooring is among the features of a new eco-friendly medical centre in the US.

Cosmetic surgeon Dr Marlene Mash has moved her company's centre of operations to a larger building in Plymouth, Pennsylvania, the Times Herald reports.

The new facility, which is two miles away from the old practice, includes cork flooring alongside green elements like energy-saving lighting, sustainable furniture and organic cotton and bamboo fabrics.

Such an undertaking is intended to ensure that the new, larger facility is as green as possible.

Dr Mash - who has been practicising in the field for 20 years - specialises in liposuction, as well as laser hair removal and skin cancer treatment, with the new premises set to offer spa-style services such as facials.

Last week, Women24's DIY and decor expert Janice Anderssen said that the material offers "sensible style" as well as being sustainable.

Ms Anderssen also attributed this quality to bamboo flooring.
